Château Clarisse “Vieilles Vignes”, Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion
Our iconic cuvée gives pride of place to old Merlot vines, some of which are over 70 years old, blended with Cabernet Franc and Carménère, an ancestral grape variety of Bordeaux. The expressive nose reveals notes of ripe black fruit and sweet spices. On the palate, the wine is rich, ripe, intensely velvety and generously fruit-driven. Beautiful harmony carries through to a generous, lingering finish, which will continue to integrate with the tannins over time, revealing fruity, woody and vanilla notes. A fine ageing potential lies ahead. A wine that will come into its own alongside game and richly flavoured meats.
