Tasted by: Georgina Hindle Drinking Window: 2024 - 2035 A striking and fully aromatic nose with ripe black fruits and floral scents. Smooth and streamlined on the palate, well balanced acidity gives a thrilling, almost sour touch to the red berry fruit with blackcurrant accents while the just-grippy tannins give the structure and weight. Sleek but full of detail and nuance, the fruit feels well worked with supportive tannins that don't obstruct. Lots to like here, especially the well-judged succulence overall. Lifted, bright, vibrant, juicy and fun while also having power, concentration and length. A great buy. Two parcels of 75-year-old Merlot go into this wine. Julien Viaud consultant.
