Château Clarisse 2022 Puisseguin Saint-Émilion The nose is spicy. The wine needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of violet, blackcurrant and small notes of black plum associated with touches of infusion, black tea as well as hints of camphor and a hint of clove. The palate is nicely fresh, fruity and offers minerality, darkness as well as deepness / an infusion side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackcurrant, morello cherry and small notes of black plum associated with touches of fresh roasting, bergamot / black tea as well as hints of nutmeg. Good length. This wine is, currently marked by roasting. Score : 14.75+/20 (89/100)
Château Clarisse – Cuvée Vieilles Vignes 2022 Puisseguin Saint-Émilion The nose is fruity, racy and offers suppleness as well as a toasted/vanilla side. It reveals notes of blackberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of vanilla associated with touches of crushed red berries as well as hints of violet, blond tobacco and a hint of vanilla. The palate is nicely fruity, mineral and offers juiciness, suppleness, a certain verticality as well as a chiseled side. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy raspberry, juicy/fresh violet plum and small notes of violet associated with touches of tonka bean, tobacco, a hint of clove as well as a subtle almost bright cherry hint and toasted hazelnut. Tannins are sapid and racy. A small chew on the finish/ persistence. A very discreet salinity in the background. Score : 15.25+/20 (90-91/100)
